Kanye West, Kyrie Irving, and Kendrick Lamar on Blacks being Semitic, Hebrews, and Descendents of Israel

Despite making that clarification, Ye has been “canceled” across the board for making statements that many have deemed to be “antisemitic.” Almost all of his partnerships with major brands and corporations have been dissolved.

Additionally, to a much lesser degree, basketball player Kyrie Irving has been criticized for promoting a book/documentary called Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America.

The film is being called antisemitic also because it details Black People as the original Jews or specifically the decedents of the Hebrew Israelites chronicled in the Bible.

In response to this criticism, Kyrie Irving released a statement via ESPN saying “I’m not here to argue over a person or a culture or a religion and what they believe.”

Basically, I feel the same way, this is not an attempt to persuade or discredit anyone. Nor am I rationalizing, supporting, or justifying comments by Ye or any other individual who has promoted violence against any group of people in this world.
