Troubling news has surfaced for the family of gospel singer Kirk Franklin. His 33-year-old son Kerrion Franklin was arrested in connection to the murder of a missing woman. According to court documents from Beverly Hills Police, Kerrion was arrested around 7:30 a.m. PT on Sunday, April 10. He was allegedly driving a car that belonged to a woman who was reported missing and is presumed to be dead. The police discovered a firearm in the car during the arrest.
Kerrion has stated that it wasn’t his firearm and has no connection to the woman in question. He spoke with Larry Reid of Larry Reid Live from jail and proclaimed his innocence. “I’m just keeping my mind positive. I really do aim to live a righteous lifestyle, all of this is unnecessary. I just want you guys to keep me in your prayers,” said Kerrion according to Reid.
The relationship between Kerrion and Kirk Franklin came to light last March when Kerrion revealed that he was bisexual. The conversation was leaked to social media and pretty much showed that the two had a strained relationship. Speaking with Larry Reid, Kerrion had this to say about his dad. “My father is not in my life. Period,” he said. Currently, Kirk Franklin has not released a statement.
