Possible shooter reported at UCLA in Los Angeles -university tweet

LOS ANGELES, June 1 (Reuters) – A possible shooter has been reported at the University of California, Los Angeles, and police are investigating, the university’s media relations section said in a message on Twitter.

The tweet said the shooter was reported to be at Boelter Hall, part of the university’s school of engineering and applied science.

A representative from the UCLA police division could not be reached.

It was not immediately clear if anyone had been shot at the university, which according to its website has more than 43,000 enrolled students.

“Police yelling at everyone in Boelter to evacuate immediately,” bioengineering student Bahjat Alirani posted on Twitter. “I was in Boelter and I just see police spread around in the building yelling at everyone to run.”
