The Eat Cafe, a project that has been two years in the making, is the city’s first non-profit “community cafe.” Drexel University, with support from Vetri Community Partnership and Giant Food Stores, among others, opened EAT (“Everyone at the Table”) last month. The cafe serves dinner four days a week for a suggested $15, but you can pay what you can. To be clear, we’re talking about a soup kitchen here, EAT is a full-service restaurant serving three-course meals.
