It’s one thing to get somebody mad, it’s another thing when a person is glad that your mother is dead. This is just one example of the celebrities who have had an issue with Tasha K. For those who don’t know, Tasha K is a popular YouTuber. She has a podcast/channel called UNWINEWITHTASHAK.
Tasha K made headlines last year after rapper Cardi B successfully won a civil lawsuit against her for defamation. Tasha K whose real name Latasha Transrina Kebe was charged with starting a campaign to “damage and destroy” Cardi B’s reputation.
“Kebe published multiple false and defamatory statements about Plaintiff, including that Plaintiff was a prostitute, that Plaintiff was a user of cocaine, that Plaintiff had and still has herpes,” the lawsuit read, which was filed against Tasha K and Kebe Studios LLC.
Cardi B won her lawsuit but more celebs are following suit. R. Kelly has a lawsuit against Tasha K and now so does Kevin Hart. The comedian/actor is suing the YouTuber for defamation and extortion. This is following Tasha K.’s released snippet of an interview with Kevin’s ex-personal assistant Miesha Shakes.
According to the lawsuit, Tasha K threatened to put out the full video if Kevin didn’t pay her $250,000. Kevin’s legal team says on November 22, 2023, they sent a letter to Tasha K regarding her “recent and ongoing violations of civil and criminal law.”
“You have already engaged in criminal conduct and tortious acts that would entitle Mr. Hart to monetary damages against you should he elect to commence civil litigation regarding this matter. To the extent that you do not cease and desist now, your liability for such monetary damages will increase, as will your exposure to criminal penalties.”
In the brief clip of the interview, Miesha Shakes is talking about Hart’s alleged infidelities and gambling problems.
Upon the release of the clip, Hart’s team reported the incident to the police. The complaint read in part that: “In advance of your threatened publication of the Story, you posted a “teaser” with Ms. Shakes on YouTube which clearly was intended as a threat, sending a message to Mr. Hart’s team that the more detailed Story would not be published if – and only if – the ransom is paid.”
Additionally, there is a lawsuit against Miesha Shakes, whose Hart’s team has claimed signed a non-disclosure agreement. No response has yet to be given by Tasha K or her team. However, based on her history with releasing information, true or false on celebrities, it just seems that this is just business as usual.
