Quavo and Offset Reunion Proves Love is Stronger than Pride

Sadly, that reality happened to the young men of the group Migos quicker than it does for others when they lost one of their members Takeoff to gun violence last year. His death was devasting to the Hip Hop community but even more to his group members, because the Migos are not only a group, but they are a family.

That’s why it was tough to see the two remaining members Quavo and Offset at odds with each other. Even before Takeoff’s death, the group had separated. Offset was doing his solo thing, while Quavo and Takeoff formed a duo and put out an album. Following Takeoff’s death, it seemed things got worse between Offset and Quavo. The two allegedly got into a fight after it was reported that Quavo blocked Offset from joining him in a tribute to Takeoff at the Grammy’s.

Fortunately, things went a lot better when the two linked up for a surprise performance at the 2023 BET Awards. Maybe they put their differences aside because the show coincided with Takeoff’s birthday, which would have been on June 18th. Maybe they realized that their unification was bigger than their problems.

And though it wasn’t stated what the problem was, or if they made amends; it was good that even if it was for one night that they came together for the love of their brother. Rest in Peace Takeoff
