However, even Nash would likely admit that it would be hard for Curry to get much better at what he does best. Earlier in the summer, Nash told Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher that the Golden State star is “the greatest there’s ever been” at shooting the ball.
For his part, Curry had cited Nash as a major influence. Here’s what he had to say last October:
“He’s a guy that I looked up to heavily when I was in college and studied a lot going into my NBA career,” Curry said (via CSN Bay Area). “There are a lot of similarities in how we play the game.
“But he changed a lot about the way the point guard position is played. And, obviously, with two MVPs, he got it done after not really being known coming out of college.”
Nash is a native of Canada, but he played college ball at Santa Clara, located near the Bay area.
