The Only Two Black Female Teachers at Donda Academy filed Lawsuit citing Odd Rules and Unsafe Conditions at the School

According to the complaint, the students were subjected to unsafe, unregulated, and unsanitary conditions. Donda Academy, which is named after Ye’s mother Donda West, is a Christian K-12 school, located in Simi Valley California.

The two teachers said on multiple occasions, they approached the principal about not complying with health and safety or educational regulations. Among their complaints was that teachers at the school were not required to have first-aid or mandated child abuse reporter training.

They also stated that the school did not have janitorial services, with West barring the use of cleaning products with chemicals, or proper trash cans. The lawsuit also alleges that teachers were only allowed to clean with “acid water and microfiber cloths.”

Additionally, the school also did not have a school nurse or medical supplies.

Then there were the weird rules and regulations enforced by Ye. The suit stated that the students required students to dress entirely in black, and they were restricted to the first floor of the building because, the complaint alleges, West is afraid of stairs.

The school didn’t have tables, the students had to eat on the floor and were fed sushi every day. “Students were not allowed to bring any outside food or anything other than water,” attorneys wrote in the complaint.

Not only did Hailey and Byers claim that they were fired after complaining, but also were shorted up to $2,700 per paycheck. To read more about this story, click here.
