Earlier this month, the Urbanworld had its opening night of its 27th annual film festival in New York City. The opening night of the four-day event started off at SVA Theatre to a sold-out crowd. The festivities included the red carpet, an after-party, and a screening of the movie ‘American Fiction’, which featured director Cord Jefferson and a Q&A moderated by filmmaker Malcolm Lee.
