Ice Spice to star in new SpongeBob movie

The rapper will also contribute a new song to the animated feature, titled The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, out in December.

Back in 2022, Ice Spice shared a snippet of a song that was quickly roasted for sounding like something out of SpongeBob SquarePants. But the N.Y.C. rapper didn’t flinch, releasing the track under the name “Bikini Bottom,” after SpongeBob’s hometown. The track went on to become one of Spice’s signature songs, and carried on the considerable momentum of her previous track, her breakout single “Munch (Feelin’ U).”
