In June of 2024, Supa Cindy announced she was leaving 99 Jamz after 20 years at the company. She stated the move was because she needed to “focus on my happiness, on what makes me feel happy,”
Before that, she was recognized for her work and dedication to her craft and the people of her city. During the Jazz in the Garden festival in North Miami, the city awarded her a proclamation.
For over 20 years Supa Cindy has been at the forefront of participating and bringing talent and entertainment to the city. Starting as an intern, Supa Cindy worked her way up to become the face of 99 Jamz.
I caught up with her and talked about being recognized for her career and community service to the city. Check out the interview below.
