Afroman Announces Retirement From Live Performances

On Facebook, the rapper announced his retirement from live performances, but said he would still record albums. He wrote, “I no longer have the desire to perform for people. I will continue to record I will continue to make albums I will continue to make videos I will continue to make movies.”

The lengthy post also addressed the onstage assault. Afroman called out TMZ for saying he punched the woman, when he says he actually slapped her. Afroman wrote, “I DID NOT UNLOAD A DEVISTATING PUNCH ” LIKE TMZ LIED AND SAID I DID. It was a slap/ push . SHE WAS NEVER BLEEDING LIKE TMZ LIED AND SAID SHE WAS.”

Afroman also apologized to the woman for his actions. “Young lady I do not know your name. I want to truly apologize for slapping you. I understand if you never forgive me ever.”

As for his immediate plans, he said he was accepted into an anger management program, which he’ll begin on Friday.
