Goodman added that he felt like sagging pants were “disrespectful,” and he added, “I prayed about this. I know that God would not go around with pants down.”
Many people showed support for the idea, but councilwoman Stephanie Kelley said they should add a law for denim cutoff shorts, “My concern is it should be for everybody. I think for the girls, with these shorts up so high looking like under garments and dresses so short, I don’t want us to be showing favoritism.”
