Atlanta Falcons Player Blames Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl Show For Team’s Loss

Gaga’s set was too long, the Falcons’ wide receiver Mohamed Sanu said, affecting his team’s performance in the game, which the falcons lost to the New England Patriots 28-34.

“It definitely [affected us] because usually, halftime is only like 15 minutes,” Sanu told NFL Network this week, “and when you’re not on the field for like an hour, it’s just like going to work out, like a great workout, and you go sit on the couch for an hour and then try to start working out again.”

Lady Gaga’s performance was the most watched musical event in history, with 150 million people tuning in to see her leap from the roof of the NRG Stadium while hundreds of drones formed a US flag in the sky. Gaga sang seven songs including ‘Poker Face’, ‘Born This Way’ and ‘Bad Romance’, after which the teams took to the field again, only for the Atlanta Falcons to squander a 25-point lead to give the New England Patriots a miraculous victory.
