Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his administration have got a lot of criticism for him signing off on a bill that will ban the discussion of race and gender in schools. DeSantis signed the STOP Woke Act in 2022 and many people have called it outright racist.
The STOP Woke Act has blocked AP African- American history courses from being taught in the state’s public schools. The decision comes a year after The College Board announced they would make the course available for over 60 high schools in the country.
People on Twitter have called out DeSantis on Twitter.

In some media reports, DeSantis’ office said the state would reconsider the decision if the course is changed to comply with Florida law.
