Bloomberg: Police Stop Whites Too Much

Article Reprintbloomberg

Michael Bloomberg may need to work a little on his tact. The New York City mayor said during his weekly radio appearance on Friday that police “disproportionately stop whites too much and minorities too little” compared to descriptions of murder suspects. The mayor has been under fire lately for his police stop-and-frisk policies, which many allege are discriminatory against minorities. The comments were made the day after city officials voted to create a police inspector general and to overhaul the department’s racial profiling. Not your best timing, Mike.
