Los Angeles Clippers‘ All-Star forward, Blake Griffin, will be out of the lineup indefinitely due to a staph infection in his elbow. Griffin, who was named as a starter on the Western Conference All-Stat team, will therefore be unable to compete in next weekend’s All Star Game at Madison Square Garden.
With DeMarcus Cousins already being added to the West’s All-Star roster as a replacement for Kobe Bryant there was only one logical choice to fill in for Blake- Damian Lillard. The Blazers‘ point God was snubbed from the All-Star team initially despite averaging 21.6 points and 6.3 assists per Game.
The West’s head coach, Steve Kerr, will select which member of the team will start in place of Blake.
