DJ Scratch talks about not finishing up his legacy yet; and opening up for Beyonce

DJ Scratch’s accomplishments and accolades and accolades stretch over a 30-year career.  He is widely known as one of the top DJs in Hip Hop history. The Brooklyn New York native started out as the DJ for the legendary group EPMD. From there he has transitioned to a multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated producer. He talked about the power of the DJ in today’s Hip Hop culture and opening up for Beyonce on her ‘Formation’ tour.

Black Truth News: You have been in the game a long time and have accomplished so much with so many legendary people. What are some of your most memorable moments in the music business?

DJ Scratch: The most memorable moment is every day for me because it’s been over 30 years. After 30 years people still booking me and demanding my service; so every day is a great achievement for me. Like I know what you mean as far as my individual moments, but once you get past 10 years, 20, and then 30.
