WASHINGTON PARK — Love the DuSable Museum? You can buy a limited-edition museum hoodie at Walgreens for Black History Month.

The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center, 740 E. 56th Place, has partnered with the drugstore chain to sell the hoodies, along with T-shirts bearing the DuSable name. The T-shirts come in espresso and heather gray — a color exclusive to Walgreens stores — while the hoodies come in jet black and royal blue.

Prices range from $27.99-$54.99.

“Partnering with an ever-popular store like Walgreens helps extend the museum’s footprint in Chicago and spread further awareness about the DuSable and our continued efforts to honor Black history and culture,” museum CEO Perri Irmer said.

All items are available until supplies last. The apparel can be found at the following Chicago Walgreens locations:

  • Bronzeville: 5036 S. Cottage Grove Ave.
  • Hyde Park: 1554 E. 55th St.
  • Kenwood: 1320 E. 47th St.
  • Lincoln Park/Old Town: 834 W. Armitage Ave.
  • Michigan Avenue: 30 N. Michigan Ave.
  • South Shore: 1533 E. 67th St.
  • State Street: 151 N. State St.
  • Uptown: 4720 N. Marine Drive
  • Wrigley Building: 410 N. Michigan Ave.

The merchandise is also available at two suburban Chicago Walgreens stores: 2100 Green Bay Road in Evanston and 820 W. 183rd St. in Homewood.

The apparel was designed in collaboration with Zeno Group, the DuSable Museum’s pro-bono agency partner, as part of the museum’s new name and visual identity, which launched in June 2022.

“Our aim was to celebrate and promote Black history and culture, while also serving as a platform for educating the community. Offering DuSable merchandise in select Chicagoland Walgreens stores was inspired by the museum’s commitment to increase awareness and accessibility to the museum’s brand,” Irmer said.
