Saif al-Islam Gaddafi the son of former Libya leader Muammar Gaddafi will have his trail in Libya instead of International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.
The difference may mean life or death for the younger Gaddafi. His defense attorney Melinda Taylor claims that the “trial is not motivated by a desire for justice but a desire for revenge, and there is no right to revenge under international law.” She continued that if he stands trail in Libya that he would no doubt be hanged. It was once thought that Saif-Islam was the key in establishing an relationship between his father and the western world; but after the attacks on his father regime he got on T.V and vowed “to fight the rebels to the last bullet”
He has been in custody in Libya mountains for over an year.
