Jada Pinkett addressed the topic of her son wearing a skirt in a Louis Vutton ad during her Facebook show called Red Table Talk. She said initially that Will Smith was opposed to it happening. “When Jadan got asked to do the women’s campaign for Louis Vutton, this kind of gender fluid fashion, you know, Will called me and he is like: ‘Nope. My son isn’t supposed to be in a Louis Vutton ad wearing skirts. No, no, no, hold up…Is this a good idea?”
She said she convinced Will that “this is what he wants” and they ultimately let him do the ad. Their daughter Willow also recalled that Will was against her cutting her hair at nine years old. Jada also revealed that Will was against their then nine year old daughter Willow cutting her hair. “He told me he did not want me to cut my hair. He was like, don’t do it, all your femininity; as if my femininity was in my hair.” Jada rationalize the behavior of her kids by saying simply that’s “how they were born and not a result of how they raised them.” Do you agree with her logic?
