Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has made the decision to bring Kamala Harris as his running mate for the 2020 election. Harris, a California U.S Senator tried her hand as being a canditate to be the president, but eventually dropped out. The 55-year-old will make history twice if Biden is elected, she will be the first woman and Black person as Vice President.
Biden went on Twitter and made a statement regarding his selection. [Kamala] is “a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants.” Biden added, “Back when Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Beau. I watched as they took on the big banks, lifted up working people, and protected women and kids from abuse. I was proud then, and I’m proud now to have her as my partner in this campaign.” To read more about this story click here.
