It was a full day of entertainment at the 27th Annual Urbanworld International Film Festival. The fourth day of the festival began with a showcase of shorts by six directors from the Disney+ Launchpad incubator program of diverse filmmakers. Then, ESPN sponsored an afternoon of movement, with activities such as yoga, double-dutch and dance.
Saturday continued with spotlight presentations from “Found” (NBC), Stand Up and Shout: Songs from a Philly High School(HBO), Lawmen: Bass Reeves(Paramount+), “Black Girls Play: The Story of Hand Games” (ESPN) and “Genius: MLK/X,” which featured a Q&A with Executive Producers Reggie Rock Bythewood and Gina Prince-Bythewood.
