But someone in America could join the ranks of the mega rich after the next drawing, which will be at 9:59 p.m. Wednesday.
Betty Brown bought a Powerball ticket at a 7-Eleven in Chicago Wednesday. She said if she wins, the first thing she’ll do is make sure her immediate family is taken care of.
“I’m gonna get my family now. Gotta get my son, gotta get my daughter. Get my grandkids and my great gandkids first. Then I’ll get my family, my sisters and my brothers. But I’ve gotta get my kids first,” Brown said.
Steven Richardson, who also purchased a Powerball ticket Wednesday, said you can’t win if you don’t play.
“It’s a chance. You got to play to win. So it’s just taking a chance,” said Steven Richardson, who also purchased a Powerball ticket Wednesday.
If the Powerball jackpot rolls over, the next drawing will be Saturday night.
