Ray Lewis Says a Whole lot just to Say Nothing about Colin Kaepernick

Ray Lewis played a Hall of Fame career for the Ravens and earned the reputation of being a fierce leader with a knack to inspire and motivate people. He has taken that persona and has made it profitable for his post football career. He not only has been a sports analyst, covering football and giving his opinion; he also has been a motivational speaker for various events and organizations. He is often seen in conjunction with religious outings such as this one sponsored by T.D Jakes. Check out the video of him speaking below.

Lewis has often put his faith on front street and has incorporated his beliefs in a lot of speeches and messages that he gives to people. After appearing on the Undisputed show, Lewis made a social network video in response to the flak he was getting from his comments. He went to his religious side, and said he was praying for Colin Kaepernick. He even went as far to saying that he has Kaepernick’s name “written in his Bible.” In addition to the video, Lewis made another appearance on Undisputed and re-emphasized his belief in prayer. He also basically reiterated his philosophy that Kaepernick should  just shut up and play football. “The field is our sanctuary” Lewis said on the show. Watch the video below

I will say that Ray Lewis has the preacher act down to a tee. He speaks with passion and says a whole lot, but really doesn’t say anything. He speaks a lot of words but those words lack substance and truth. He definitely has the mannerism of a Baptist preacher, jumping up down ,talking about everything but the word of God. Lewis wants to Kaepernick to be obedient, docile and keep the faith as they would say. When you think about it, people like Ray Lewis cause just as much harm to advancement of our struggle as the White power structure that cause the problems in the first place. What is worse, is that White folks put Blacks like Ray Lewis in a position to dictate change. I think it rationalize White people’s  conscious and makes them believe they are really  working for the betterment of Black people. Maybe that’s why Ravens owner  Steve Bisciotti gave that press conference to address the issue of his team signing Kaepernick. Possibly he thought he was a progressive agent for change and his press conference would pacify the people who thought otherwise.  And maybe, just maybe Ray Lewis thinks when he speaks in support of the owner and offers constructive criticism for Kaepernick that he is doing the right thing. Unfortunately, the only thing that they did was expose the Slave master and the House Nigga.
