Joining Tatyana in the Zoom interview was the director of the movie Alpha Nicky Mulowa and Ni’Cola Mitchell herself. I don’t know about you, but I was wondering who is Ni’Cola Mitchell and why does she have a movie made based on her life?
I got the press release, I found out that she is a successful author, publisher, and speaker. During a book signing, she realized that her calling is to help disadvantaged girls. From there Ni’Cola launches Girls Who Brunch, events designed to make young women feel seen and empowered.
She pours all of her time and money into hosting these events and eventually expands to dozens of cities across the country, reaching tens of thousands of girls in the process.
The inspirational thing for me wasn’t just what she has accomplished, but what she has been through to get to this point.

I told y’all this was inspirational, and I had to let the ladies know that. I felt some type of way about hearing the story of strength, perseverance, and overcoming the odds. Especially coming from these Black Women, I had to circle back for the last question and ask the ladies about timing. Because most of us know or eventually find out, everything is God’s plan.
