NBA Hall of Famer and former Los Angeles Lakers executive Jerry West is not a fan of the HBO series ‘Winning Time.’ The series is based on author Jeff Pearlman’s book “Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s.” According to ESPN, Jerry West is demanding a retraction and an apology for what he called “a baseless and malicious assault” on his character in the series. A letter was sent by West’s legal team to the HBO network and producer Adam McKay, which was obtained by ESPN.
