‘All Eyez On Me’ Movie Didn’t Mentioned These 3 Things About 2Pac But they Should Have

I won’t consider this just a review of the movie. More or less, it’s just an observation of what the movie could have been as opposed to what it wasn’t. If you grew up while 2Pac was alive, then you probably could have wrote this script yourself. They added nothing new but curiosity, which is not a bad thing. I will give the movie credit for generating more interest on an already interesting person. There has always been a buzz surrounding Pac before and after his death; but the movie has amplified it to another level. The interviews, praise and criticism correlated with promoting the movie has made me looked more deeper into the life and legacy of Tupac Shakur.

As a result, I came up with three things that I discovered about Mr. Shakur.

1. Tupac had a long term relationship with female rapper with Yo-Yo

In the movie they talked about his relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith and Quincy Jones daughter Kidada Jones. It is true that Jada grew up with Pac and was one of his closest friends and he was engaged to Kidada. However it is rarely mentioned the long term relationship he had with Yo-Yo. Hip Hop pioneers and radio personalities Ed Lover and Monie Love confirmed this on their show.

Even though she was with him in his early Digital Underground days, there is no mentioned of her in the movie. She talked about she beat 2Pac in a rap battle in the studio with Digital Underground in this interview below.

Here is Tupac in a video with Yo-Yo when she was featured in Patra’s “Romantic Call’ song.

Rumor also has it Pac was a little salty from the breakup and had a line for Yo-Yo in one of his songs

Despite her omission from the movie, Yo-Yo claims she stayed close with Pac and his family until his death. In this interview she talks about how she was in the hospital with him before he died.

In all fairness to the creators of the All Eyez On Me movie, Pac didn’t talk about his relationship with Yo Yo that much. On the other hand, creating a movie with little known facts like this would have made the movie that much better.
