According to a report by People, Mars plans to enter the holiday season in an extraordinary fashion and will be making a considerable donation through the Hawaii Community Foundation to the Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving Dinner Program in the Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division. In a gesture honoring his tour and recent album, Mars’s donation will benefit 24,000 Hawaiin residents.
Earlier this month, Bruno took to his Twitter to reveal just how much of a food enthusiast and masterful chef he is writing, “U know every now and then I turn the stove on & make myself a salami sandwich. I think it’s best if u all knew that.. Alright.. take care.” Though he may not be cooking a Thanksgiving meal on his own any time soon, Bruno certainly cares about ensuring thousands of people across Hawaii have access to them. A recent press release addressing the donation lauds the musician for his efforts which will “single-handedly expanding [the program’s] reach across the state.” The meals will be also be made available to individuals who are home-bound.
