With the rise of the Omicron variant across the globe, the Recording Academy has decided to postpone this year’s Grammy Awards. This is the second consecutive year that the ceremony has been postponed. The 2022 Grammys was scheduled for January 31st at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena (formerly the Staples Center). An Academy confirmed to Variety that the new date is still to be determined.

Last year’s show was pushed back from January to March due to COVID-19 concerns. The venue was also changed from its home at Staples Center to the Los Angeles Convention Center to avoid crowding. Like last year, the show will be hosted by Trevor Noah. To read more about this story click here.
