Her pregnancy and delivery of the calf has become an internet sensation. So much so that at the time of the birth, over 1.2 million people watch it live on Youtube. And another 750,000 people watched it on the zoo’s Facebook page. I just found out that giraffe’s are in danger of being extinct. But really was it that important to see this giraffe give birth?
Isn’t there Black girls to be found in Washington D.C? Or people to rescue in Syria? In the Black community most would say this is something that White people care about. That’s something I can’t prove, but regardless it seems less important when compared to other issues in the world.
