Sundance Film Festival In-Person Events are Canceled and will be Online only

The Sundance Film Festival has canceled this year’s in-person events due to the rise of Omicron Variant. Event organizers have stated the festival has been moved completely online. The news comes just 15 days before the start of the January 15th start date. Sundance Institute, the nonprofit behind the fest releasing a statement regarding the change. “Despite the most ambitious protocols, the Omicron variant with its unexpectedly high transmissibility rates is pushing the limits of health safety, travel, and other infrastructures across the country. And so, today we’re announcing: the Festival’s in-person Utah elements will be moving online this year.” To read more about this story click here.
