Man Sets Up Facebook Date, Gets Armed Robbers Instead, Prosecutors Say

Brosmore and his accomplice drove off in the Malibu, according to a police report. Quinn said the woman also got away, and the victim’s car, money and cellphone were never recovered.

Police arrested Brosmore, who lives on the street where the attack took place, after the victim identified him in a photo array, prosecutors said.

Brosmore, who’s currently on juvenile probation for aggravated battery, was charged as an adult with two counts of felony aggravated vehicular hijacking.

Cook County Judge Adam Bourgeois ordered him held in lieu of $750,000 bail on Tuesday.
