Received a text message from my bossiest client with a question. For the sake of embarrassing her let’s call this client Tara. She wanted to know the difference between fasting and dieting. This a topic that has needed to be explored for quite some time. The answer lies in the purpose and motivation of what you are doing. When someone says “I’m fasting to lose weight” they are mistaken. When someone says, “I’m dieting to change my perspective on food” they are also mistaken.
