Jalen Rose talks about Business, Life, and Legacy at the Rolling Out Studios

Jalen first rose to national fame as a member of the “Fab Five.” He was part of the University of Michigan 91-92 basketball team that started five freshmen and reached the National Championship game. They made history, set trends, and became one of the most influential teams in sports history.

Jalen talked about his love/hate relationship with the University of Michigan during his sit-down.

Jalen Rose was drafted in 1994 by the Denver Nuggets. He played 13 seasons for six teams. His tenure in the NBA led him to play with and against some of the greatest players in NBA history. He talked about working out with Kobe Bryant and gave his list of the best NBA players of all time.

Unlike most NBA players, Jalen Rose has probably had more success since he retired. He has been a sports media personality for TNT, ABC, and ESPN since he retired in 2007.  He is a New York Times best-selling author and owns a management and production company.

Jalen talked about the misconceptions surrounding athletes and how his accolades debunk those theories.

One of Jalen’s endeavors is being the executive producer of a new television series called Southwest High. Jalen stars in the series as Nolan Thomas, a former pro baller who returns to his old high school to become the principal.

The evening was filled with Jalen Rose sharing stories, wisdom, and advice with the audience. Before he left, he wanted young people to remember this one word.
