The Sad Saga of Wendy Williams Continues

The show was officially canceled in June of 2022. Following the show’s cancellation, Wendy’s behavior seemed off to her family and friends. One friend said “Wendy seemed really confused and out of it recently. She wasn’t following along, and she wasn’t making a lot of sense. She was slurring and seemed unable to comprehend the thread of what we were talking about.”

Around the same time, a Wells Fargo bank put a temporary hold on Williams’ account. They claimed she was “incapacitated” and a “victim of undue influence and financial exploitation,” before filing a petition for guardianship, according to Variety.

Now there have been reports that Williams got married to a New York police officer. William Selby, Williams’ jeweler and now representative, told Page Six she is not married and that she’s just excited about her relationship.

Amidst the ongoing saga surrounding her well-being, her brother Tommy Williams spoke publicly about her condition. “Nobody’s pushed any family away and family can’t talk to Wendy, only her son, that’s a lie. I talk to Wendy all the time,” he said. “…Family’s in touch with Wendy, Wendy’s in touch with family. We would just like more. I think we’re not getting anywhere by her being up there. She has too much independence and not enough hands-on deck. She has too many evil-doers lurking about trying to find opportunities to thrive [despite] Wendy’s welfare right now, and she doesn’t need that right now. Nobody needs that.”

Hopefully, Wendy Williams gets well soon.
