Can Yo Save Your Relationship?

I thought about the day she had our daughter, for some reason, and how much our daughter has changed in the last year-and-a-half.

“Yo.”

And how we both felt exhausted after a particularly wretched Friday night battling with our kids.

“Yo.”

How I couldn’t wait to get some alone time with her soon.

“Yo.”

I had no idea what was getting across, what she was thinking or how my Yo’s were being interpreted. The only thing I knew was my Yo’s were sincere as hell. Hot damn was I keepin’ it real with my Yo’s.

Later that evening, we were sitting around with some friends and explained our Yo-filled weekend to them. We broke down what that app does and how to use it in roughly 30 seconds because it doesn’t take long to tell someone how Yo works.

“See, I love that,” our friend Aylin said. “Sometimes I don’t want to say anything at all but yo.”
