Top 10 High Blood Pressure Foods

.Ramen Noodles-  Ramen noodles, cup noodles or any another pre-packaged noodle meal is popular among college students and lazy adults but highly damaging to your body.  One package of generic ramen noodles contains 14 grams of fat and a whopping 1,580 mg of sodium. The tiny flavor packet that comes with it is the major culprit, containing most of the sodium.

.Alcohol–  Everybody loves happy hour, but alcohol consumption actively causes blood pressure to elevate. “But I heard a glass of wine a day is good for your heart?”  That is true, for someone who lives in France and walks and bikes to every single destination.  Also most European countries have longer and more frequent vacations than Americans.  With the high stress and sedentary lifestyle that we live in, a glass of wine isn’t the go to options for a healthy heart.  Maybe going for a jog, or swimming some laps every morning, or almost any movement other than walking to your car to drive to work and home will help your heart more than wine.

.Donuts-  One donut can have more than 300 calories with 42% fat and 54% carbs.  Being fried, it contains lots of saturated and trans fats — more trans fat than peanut butter, chocolate bars or even chips.

.Sugary drinks-  High blood pressure is more common in individuals who are overweight or obese.  Most people who are overweight or obese drink soda pop.  Currently, the USDA does not have a recommended daily limit for sugars, but the American Heart Association recommends that women limit added sugar intake to 6 teaspoons per day, and that men keep themselves restricted to 9 teaspoons per day.
