Peyton Manning’s Own Sexual Misconduct Issue Sheds Light on Media Bias

The connection between the NFL and freaky white couples is that they both think of Black Men as Bulls or animals. The mainstream media helps convey this image by constantly broadcasting negativity regarding black athletes. The lack of coverage concerning the Peyton Manning incident shows how exposure helps and hurts a story. Imagine this story being brought up while Peyton was in the Super Bowl? Or when he got traded from the Colts to the Broncos? I didn’t hear any character concerns being brought up by anyone during that trade. It was never a question or a issue. This comes in contrast to athletes like Michael Vick, and Desean Jackson of Philadelphia Eagles. This comes in contrast to almost every black NFL player who has got in trouble at some point in his career. That includes college football star Jameis Winston who has people judging him, even though he is around the same age Peyton Manning was when he committed his transgression.

This problem is not going to go away. The problem of control, the issue of authority; Black men have problems with a white dude always telling them what to do. A white agent, lawyer, coach, owner; your worth is determined by your value on the market. You think these black athletes don’t see the lack of opportunities after they retire from sports? You think they don’t see the lack of respect of their mind and thoughts? When you have that pent up aggression, you turn to a get-away, usually alcohol and drugs. No coincidence that DUI is a leading offense amongst NFL players. After you a drunken fool, the first person you see when you come home is your wife. Guess who becomes the scapegoat for all the bullshit and frustration in your life? That’s right, your woman.

I saw it too many times with my father getting drunk, blowing his money at the race track and taking it out my mother. This is not always the case but a likely scenario for most. Roger Goodell did make a good point during his press conference acknowledging these problems are “societies at large.” But he like NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver failed to address the inequality of blacks within management and ownership. They failed to address the lack of positive images that these young black athletes don’t see coming up in their system. They have no one who looks like them and been through what they have been through, to talk to. Once again, this is not just the NFL and NBA problem, it is society problem.
